Communication

fracriskconference.jpg

Communication activities are vital to the success of FracRisk and the consortium will develop various channels for communication to increase awareness amongst all stakeholders of the risks involved in hydraulic fracturing. A high degree of visibility to the public will openly disclose the project progress.  Educational articles and promotional material will be prepared in WP7 in collaboration with the project partners. In addition to targeting professional newspapers, magazines, radio and TV channels, they will also be published on the FracRisk project website.

Key points of the communication plan are:

•             Communicating the risks involved in hydraulic fracturing and solutions if unlikely impact events occur

•             Disseminating the results generated during the project to the scientific community and associated industry sectors for further exploitation

•             Conveying the scientific information into clear information for policy makers

•             Developing a set of best practices recommendations for legislative implementation
